PM360 magazine recently announced the winners of its prestigious ELITE Awards, which celebrates the top 100 most influential people working in healthcare and life sciences – with Inizio colleagues among those recognised. Those chosen as ELITE (Exceptional Leaders, Innovators, Transformers and Entrepreneurs) are assessed on their achievements, testimonials from colleagues and clients, and evidence of the impact they’ve made.

Let’s meet our three outstanding winners…

Clint Burrus – Transformational Leader

Clint, who is President of Market Access for Ashfield Engage, won an ELITE Award in the Transformational Leaders category for expanding market access engagement. Clint joined Inizio in 2015 and has overseen significant growth in our Market Access business since then.

Originally partnering with start-ups primarily for payer account management, Clint’s team now works with small, midsize and large pharmaceutical companies as well as private equity, conducting market research and development of strategy for the payer and distribution areas of business. Additionally for pharma organizations they provide talent acquisition, licensing services and account management. For companies without existing distribution capabilities, they offer expertise in sourcing logistics.

“Transformational leadership is about building a team that performs successfully,” says Clint. “In choosing people to be part of the team you need individuals with the core values the organisation must embody; values like integrity, compassion, drive, fairness, trust and a track record of achieving success.

“After building the right team, it’s critical to define the objectives for what constitutes success, the parameters within which you’ll work to deliver that goal, and the role in which each teammate will contribute. Teams that are committed and work together for common objectives deliver phenomenal results.

“I’m very excited by this recognition because it’s really an acknowledgement of our team. This group has worked very diligently to build a successful business with a wide range of high-quality services. The leadership team and our account teams should take pride as they really do set Inizio apart. It’s my pleasure to work with them.”

Garrett Groesbeck – Sales MVP

Garrett is Senior Director of Business Development Strategy at Ashfield MedComms, an Inizio Medical company, and won an ELITE Award in the Sales MVP category for the consistent strategic intuition and planning he’s shown throughout his career.

Garrett joined us in 2017, but his first brush with medical communications was when he was just 13 – sweeping the floors at Pharmaceutical Information Associates (PIA) Ltd! After earning his business degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, Garrett went onto work at various companies including Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer and Springer Nature.

Throughout his career, Garrett has earned a reputation for producing and managing high-quality work, with a particular focus on the planning stages of a project, and having real connections with clients and colleagues. Thanks to Garrett’s thorough and meticulous work ethic, Ashfield MedComms has had many successes and continues to go from strength to strength.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by such an exceptional staff here at Inizio. I’m very fortunate to be surrounded by a group of energetic folks that are consistently dedicated to ensuring we deliver the most exceptional work possible. This award is truly a reflection of the great work these teams deliver on a daily basis.”

Andi Weiss – Disrupter

Andi is Director of Behavioral Services at Evoke MicroMass, and was recognised in the Disrupter category for making behavioural science approachable.

Andi is held in high regard by her team as a leader and someone who understands patients at a much deeper level than most – an understanding that translates into incredibly valuable insights for our clients.

“When I first started at MicroMass 13 years ago, I could have never imagined how much opportunity there would be for someone with a background in public health,” she says. “The opportunity to apply my training and knowledge in a unique way has been so rewarding. I’m thankful for my clients who get energised about the work we’re doing and the impact we have. Behavioural science enables us to take our strategic recommendations to the next level, and it’s exciting to see the results.”

Congratulations to our three winners – we look forward to seeing who makes the list next year.
