Bringing our two businesses together has been a great opportunity to review our community engagement strategy and take a fresh look at how we can all support local communities and good causes.

Our charities of choice
The Senior Leadership Team recently selected the following three charities to partner with in 2022-23:

These organizations were nominated by our Business Unit Presidents and strongly endorsed by the Senior Leadership Team. In addition to providing financial support, we’ll also look to align our volunteering initiatives at an Inizio level with these fantastic charities. Here’s a little on what they do.

1. London Autism Group Charity
Led by people with autism and allies, this unique charity serves the autistic community of London and surrounding counties. Its goal is to support social inclusion and autism acceptance, improving mental health and well-being and reducing stigma. Find out more at londonautismgroupcharity.org

2. Gemma Services
Serving the greater Philadelphia area, Gemma Services provides education, nurturing and healing for children, teens and families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. The charity also offers educational and prevention programs, mental health services in residential and community settings, foster care and adoption services. Find out more at gemmaservices.org

3. UNICEF
UNICEF is a children’s charity working in over 190 countries to save children’s lives, defend their rights and help them fulfill their potential. The charity provides food, education, emergency relief, water, sanitation, hygiene, vaccines and education, and is also on the ground in Ukraine supporting children and their families. Introducing our Give Back Fund

We’re very proud of our employees’ fundraising achievements and want to continue to support these efforts by offering a matched-funding scheme in each of our business units.

Whether you’re having a bake sale or taking part in an endurance challenge, you can now ask your business unit to match the funds you raise for charities of your choice.

Employee volunteering

We know that some of our businesses already empower their employees to volunteer with community charities, and we want to provide support to allow this to continue. We’re also looking to align our employees’ volunteering efforts by launching our Inizio Community Action Day in the autumn.

As part of this, we’re establishing a steering committee within each business unit to consider which teams will participate on a given day and in aid of which charity / community project.

Look out for more information on this in the weeks ahead.
