It’s time to do the right thing: Inizio’s Community Action Day

Scroll
Summary

To help us on our path to achieving a more sustainable future together, we’re excited to embark on our first Community Action Day.

Throughout October and November, all of our business units will dedicate a day to volunteering with organizations that are making a real difference for our communities and the planet.

What is a Community Action Day?

Put simply, our Community Action Day is an opportunity for our people to make a tangible difference to our surrounding communities and the environment as a whole.

On this day, we’re encouraging our staff to take some time away from their desks to give back to their local communities.

Alongside local organizations, we’ll also be aligning, where we can, with the initiatives of our corporate charities, including Gemma Services, by volunteering in the garden clean-up of their rehabilitation center in Philadelphia.

Who is taking part?

From all levels across every one of our business units, all members of Inizio will have the opportunity to take part in the Community Action Day.

For us, sustainability is a way of being. We see every day as an opportunity to support our people in helping out with the causes they feel most passionate about, and our Community Action Day is just one of many initiatives to help drive a more sustainable future.

What will be involved?

The sky’s the limit – from fundraising to community clean-ups, we encourage everyone to get creative on their Community Action Day.

With activities taking place across the globe, our in-office and remote teams have plenty of opportunities to take part and make a real impact.

These activities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Ronald McDonald House Cooking4Families Programme: Our Dublin volunteers can plan, prepare, serve and clean up a menu of home cooked meals for the families of patients.
  • London Autism Group fundraising merchandising: Remote volunteers can put their creative skills to the test by developing merchandise concepts using the charity logo and motto of “It all starts with the will to make a difference” to aid with fundraising.
  • Parks & Gardening: Volunteers based in Didsbury, South Manchester will be able to help support their local green spaces by weeding, cutting back growth, planting new grass, and clearing paths.
  • Coram’s Fields and Harmsworth Memorial Playground: Our London-based volunteers will be able to get involved with a wide variety of tasks to support the children’s charity, including painting internal and external walls, leaf picking, varnishing park benches and picnic tables, along with general gardening and wildlife maintenance tasks.

Our mission to create a more sustainable future

We understand that sustainability must be embedded in a culture in order to be lived through actions. Every individual at Inizio is empowered to do the right thing, because small changes can, and do, have a big impact.
